She/ hers
Sara is a board-certified, licensed acupuncturist. She received her Master of Science from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, where she taught for 5 years as a core faculty member. Currently, she teaches at Pacific College as a supervisor in the college’s student-run resident clinic. Sara specializes in Physical Medicine Acupuncture and Japanese acupuncture, and she employs these modern approaches every day in her private practice.
Originally from Colorado, Sara is a health and movement enthusiast. As a former college athlete, she has a first-hand understanding of what is required of the physical and mental body for peak performance and execution. Having completed post-graduate work in sports orthopedics, Sara specializes in pain management, musculoskeletal dysfunction and injury rehabilitation. She also holds a keen interest in emotional imbalances, stress, insomnia and GI dysfunction, the last of which she believes is the key to all health.
Sara's former work includes a residency at the NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, where, by using protocol developed by MD Anderson and Memorial Sloan Kettering hospitals, she provided acupuncture treatment to patients to help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Sara’s current patients include the New York City Ballet, Broadway performers and New York Knicks, along with parents, business professionals and anyone seeking stress reduction and optimal health. Her goal is to help patients return to their daily lives with renewed health and further understanding of their own wellness. Sara believes that this medicine is so powerful in its healing capabilities, and she honors the opportunity to work with individuals in their goals to achieving optimal well-being.
In her spare time, Sara can be found sticking her feet in the grass at Prospect Park, playing a pickup soccer game, or hiking her beloved Colorado mountains.
